Some of the best original bay area thrash bands came to Buffalo, NY last week for a sweet sweet metal show. Megadeth was celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark album Rust in Peace, so old school became the theme of the night.
Exodus opened the show playing material exclusively from the first three albums. The crowd was lame as hell for most of the Exodus portion. There were only a hand full of dudes 'doing the toxic waltz'. And Rob Dukes responded accordingly giving most of the crowd the finger half way through
Testament played their entire first album, which was awesome, and a little sad at the same time. There are so many awesome songs in their catalog I was hoping to hear that night. And, Alex Skolnick wasn't there. Which made me sad. I haven't been keeping up with the latest on that recently, wonder what happened to him this time...
Megadeth was awesome, never seen Mustaine live before, and seeing them for the first time at a Rust In Peace anniversary show is definitely a good thing. They played a really tight set. But Mustaine still looks and sounds like a sheep, and makes a terrible front man
